• Don't give up on the game, it can be enjoyable, has some interesting game mechanics, and carries a certain charm with it
• Give Beginner difficulty a chance after you've frustrated yourself on the higher difficulty settings
  • I spent 8 hours over three tracks and nine days on Realistic difficulty, trying to learn how to ride in the game, and could not string two laps together at pace consistently even by the end. Then I tried Beginner difficulty and that changed everything for the better. It even feels good, not like you're on rails or anything like that. You can still wipe out in the obvious spots if you go hard.
