** But it also seems to reduce maximum throttle input meaning you accelerate slower
** One case I solved by doing this was the backend spinning out around corners due to throttling too high because I had so little travel to judge the throttle by. By having more travel, I can better judge how much throttle I'm applying.

*** But this was tested on very powerful cars and when I moved to slow cars (~100hp) I realized I wasn't getting 100% acceleration at full throttle because Saturation affects maximum effective input as if you were only pushing the pedal down 90% even when your trigger is down 100%.

* Saturation is not Sensitivity:
** Saturation sets the point at which the maximum input is achieved, affecting the range of trigger travel needed for full input.

Controller Settings

Tested on PS5 with DualShock 4 controllers

  • Steering Sensitivity: 12
    • Alleviates overly twitchy steering
  • Throttle Saturation: 136
    • More than 100 decreases throttle actuation which provides more trigger travel at low throttle which can help better judge low speed throttling
    • But it also seems to reduce maximum throttle input meaning you accelerate slower
